Responsibilities:
  • Act as both a consultative and executional role, transforming risk management and business processes (such as credit approval and fraud prevention) into highly optimized, data-driven, and efficient processes.
  • Translate credit interpretation into actionable insights by driving an end-to-end data-driven operating model.
  • Collaborate and co-create optimal solutions with stakeholders (e.g., risk management group, consumer and institutional banking group, etc.) to address the most prioritized problems.
  • Explore, identify, prepare, and ingest relevant internal and/or external data for data models or other analysis consumption.
  • Communicate analytics results to stakeholders in clear and understandable language.
Requirements:
  • At least 7 years of relevant working experience
  • Strong credit analytical and risk assessment skills gained from consumer, commercial, or corporate banking experience in lending or related activities
  • Good knowledge of various banking products
  • Conversant with working on large volumes of data to derive insights and design solutions in a data science context
  • Proficient in Python, PySpark, or SQL
  • Experience in big data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark) and modern data warehouses is a plus
  • Sound knowledge of statistics and machine learning
  • Ability to navigate a complex environment and drive outcomes with stakeholders
  • Ability to clearly articulate data deliverables in an easily understood manner, both orally and in writing
  • A good understanding of agile and its principles, be comfortable working with cross functional teams from developers to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficient in English and Chinese.
