The jobholder is responsible for Product development for (i) enabling a competitive product suite that will retain the existing book of business, (ii) developing new products and services to respond to market changes and generate new revenue streams and bring cost efficiency and/or and (iii) to ensure these is done within a controlled and compliant environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support Product Management team to develop and execute the strategy for the Post-Trade Product suite 
  • Define and drive to deliver the target operating model for the Post-trade business 
  • Regularly reviews the product suite to ensure its competitiveness and viability 
  • Follow closely on regulatory and policy change, and ensure the products and services offering are in line with the changes
  • Collaborates with Operations to design and implement scalable, automated, and commercially viable operating model for the business, capable of adaptation to satisfy changing business and regulatory requirements
  • Periodically reviews and enhance the product offering, identify areas for improvement, improving in process efficiency, mitigating risk, lowering cost to ensure profitability requirements and expectations continue to be met
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders including Sales, Legal, Credit, Risk, Compliance, Operations and clients.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop new products and services offering
  • Monitor and oversee the performance and deliverable of the service providers

Requirements

  • At least 8-10 years of Post Trade related experience in a well-established financial organizations
  • University degree, holder of relevant professional qualifications or master degree would be a plus
  • Solid experience in securities services in Hong Kong, Stock Connect, Bond Connect markets; Knowledge of overseas market is a plus
  • Sound knowledge of CCASS/CMU operations, knowledge of HKSCC rules and procedures and local regulatory framework is preferred
  • Experience on SWIFT knowledge
  • Knowledge of Settlement Agent model/Third Party Clearing is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to interact effectively with peers and senior management alike
  • Fluent in written and spoken in English and Chinese, Mandarin is a plus
  • Practical experience in Product development, Clearing & Custody Operations and Project delivery are preferred
  • Result oriented, proactive and self-motivated; ability to be a team player or an individual contributor
  • Highly organized with strong multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Being resourceful, open-minded, detail-oriented, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Well-versed in computer applications and proficiency in Microsoft tools is a must
  • Good team player and be able to support and work closely with internal and external parties while able to work independently
  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadline 
  • Knowledge in Fund and Trustee services is a plus
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for the role of Assistant Vice President
