Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Financial Reporting Senior Officer at our client company, an established insurance company. As a Financial Reporting Senior Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with IFRS 17 standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with 0-3 years of experience in financial reporting to enhance their skills and contribute to a dynamic industry.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with IFRS 17 standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial data for reporting purposes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Support the implementation and maintenance of financial reporting systems and processes
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Conduct research and stay updated on emerging accounting standards and regulations
- Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong understanding of IFRS 17 standards and their application in the insurance industry
- Knowledge of financial reporting principles and practices
- 0-3 years of experience in financial reporting or related roles
- Big 4 audit experience is an advantage
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting software
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
