Out client is a Multinational Investment Firm and they are currently having a major transformation program for their Middle Office (Investment Services and Data Management) in the Asia region.

The Role
  • Assume leadership responsibility for the Middle Office Transformation, including overseeing comprehensive requirements gathering, conducting thorough analysis, and ensuring accurate documentation of client onboarding projects across all applicable entities.
  • Provide support to the Programme Workstream Owner in strategic planning and design of project plans, while proactively monitoring progress, resolving issues, and initiating appropriate corrective actions.
  • Drive the successful adoption of selected target operating models that impact, modify, or enhance the Middle Office Trade Capture and Trade Matching/Settlement Operating Model. This involves meticulous analysis, design, testing, and training for proposed solutions.
  • Foster and maintain strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the broader Programme, as well as business stakeholders and third-party vendors.
  • Monitor the performance of third-party vendors, ensuring their capability to deliver the required scope of services.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments during project decision-making processes, ensuring compliance with applicable policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of agreed-upon project deliverables while adhering to defined scope and budgetary constraints.
  • Effectively manage project scope, and in the event of necessary changes, collaborate with Programme Workstream Owners to execute the New Star change process, managing any adjustments to scope, resources, and budget.
  • Proactively engage in risk management activities to mitigate project risks, promptly identifying and addressing potential issues by engaging project teams and relevant partner functions.
Your Profile
  • Seasoned professional with 15-20+ years of direct project, programme management, and delivery experience, specializing in complex technical-related outcomes.
  • Proven track record of working on large-scale, intricate middle office, investment operations, and technology transformation projects.
  • Adept at influencing senior stakeholders and exhibiting highly effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Capable of performing under high-pressure situations where time is critical.
  • Demonstrates the ability to command respect and foster a sense of community among project team members and third-party vendors.
  • Possesses a strong knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling programmes.
  • Excellent multi-vendor management skills to oversee and coordinate multiple vendors.
  • Proficient in programme and project management methods, including MSP, PRINCE2, PMQ, and PMP. Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is advantageous.
  • Possesses the seniority and credibility to provide advisory support to Programme Owners and project team members.
  • Skilled in proactive problem-solving and preemptive issue resolution.
  • Proven expertise in setting up programmes for success and delivering projects within defined timelines, budgets, and quality parameters.
  • Knowledgeable in programme and project management within a portfolio or programme environment.
  • Excellent influencing, negotiation, and planning skills to collaborate effectively with business teams in defining scope, requirements, and priorities.
