Overview
An established global bank in Hong Kong is seeking to hire a Junior Credit Risk Analyst to join their credit risk team to provide specialized credit solutions and credit analysis support for corporate banking business to achieve its business target and comply with regulatory requirements.
Role Responsibilities
- Be responsible for credit analysis of PRC and HK large corporates as well as some MNCs (including SOE, POE, blue chips, red chips, etc)
- Prepare credit proposals for the new and renewal credit applications.
- Manage the credit approval process for each transaction, ensuring follow-up on post-approval conditions and covenants.
- Advises clients on deal structuring and participates in negotiations and client meetings.
- Provides support and advice to Sector teams on all aspects of lending products and offers guidance on risk and return-related factors.
- Executes and maintains high-quality lending activities, including negotiating documentation with clients and coordinating with Risk and Legal teams (and external legal counsel if needed).
- Ensures proper portfolio management through monitoring and conducting regular reviews. This includes maintaining the quality of credit files, cost management, monitoring actual losses, data quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Seeks and pursues new opportunities with existing and new clients, in collaboration with the Sector teams, by actively pursuing bilateral or syndicated transactions.
Requirements
- Around 2-3+ years of experience in credit analysis/credit review from corporate banking, experience in working at Foreign Banks is preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree Holder in Finance/Banking/Economics/other fields
- Good knowledge of the Hong Kong and China market is an advantage.
- Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACCA, CPA, FRM are desirable
- Strong financial and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
