Overview
A fast-growing commercial bank is actively hiring an SVP Head of Commerical Credit to lead and manage the commercial credit team and to approve commercial loans for the bank.
Role Responsibilities
- Act as a team lead to manage a team of 7.
- Approve commercial credit applications of SMEs (turnover size up to HKD500 million) and MMEs (turnover size from HKD500 million to HKD5 Billion) with the portfolio size of not fewer than 1,000 borrowing customers.
- Support CRO and Division Head in managing complex MME applications.
- Attend credit committee meetings and present credit comments.
- Lead the Commercial Credit Department and supervise a team to manage a sizable commercial customer portfolio, including credit assessment, credit approval and post-approval monitoring.
- Formulate and maintain credit policies and procedures in accordance with the HKMA and the Bank's internal requirements.
- Manage the electronic credit approval work flows in an efficient manner.
- Coordinate the early warning mechanism for commercial customer and be a member of early warning meetings.
- Handle portfolio reviews and industry studies.
- Manage the process and compliance of CRA and CCRA checks for commercial customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree holder in Business Administration/Finance/other related disciplines is preferred.
- 10-15+ years of Credit Risk and Approval experience from banking.
- Conversant with trade finance, factoring, property lending, syndicated / club loans and FX products.
- Good knowledge of HKMA requirements in commercial credit.
- Proficiency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills
- Strong PC and Microsoft Application skills
