Job Summary:
Clearing & Depository is responsible for maintaining the orderly, fair and expeditious clearing and settlement arrangements for the securities, on-exchange derivatives and OTC derivatives markets. This department also provides central securities depository, custody and nominee services, and admission of stocks and structured products. The team also provides hotline and training services to investors and clearing participants.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain relationship with clearing participants and associated stakeholders e.g. banks & system vendors etc.
• Provide training / briefing to clearing participants with an aim to improve enquiry efficiency and introduce new products or service.
• To collect market feedback and able to navigate clients request by levering in-depth of market experience.
• Identify areas for modernizing existing operational processes with appropriate proposals and implementation plan.
• Able to draw up market engagement plans to support post-trade related initiatives and day to day related issues to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Capability to handle special or ad hoc projects as assigned.
• Able to guide the internal stakeholders to understand the market needs at each stage of project cycle, market readiness and model design.
• Capable to direct different post-trade related projects based on in-depth knowledge within post-trade areas
• Capable of presenting and deliver key messages to external market participants at different level of the organization.

Requirements:
• University Degree, preferably in Finance / Business Administration or related disciplines
• At least 7-10 years' experience in post-trade related products and services and thorough understand on how Hong Kong market participants operate.
• A good understanding on other Central Counter Party and Central Depository practices, PFMI, IOSCO and etc.
• Flexible, detail-oriented and meticulous.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Conversant PC skills including MS Word / Excel /PowerPoint /Access/ SharePoint
