Your impact as a Strategist
Within Goldman Sachs AWM, quantitative engineering strategists are at the cutting edge of our business, solving real-world problems through a variety of analytical methods. Working in close collaboration with the business, their invaluable quantitative perspectives on complex financial and technical challenges power our business and investment decisions.
As a member of our team, you will use your advanced training in mathematics, programming and logical thinking to construct quantitative models that drive our success. Who We Look For
We are interested in individuals who have strong coding and analytical skills and a passion to use technology to solve business problems. Individuals who can develop new models, systems and processes in a rapidly growing and evolving commercial environment
Responsibilities
As a quantitative engineering strategist, you will have the opportunity to work on many different types of projects including:
  • Developing portfolio management systems and tools to actively manage our fund's performance, investing and capital sources at scale
  • Providing quantitative analytics to optimize investment structure, pricing, returns, sources of capital before deal underwriting/at investment stage
  • Modeling current and prospective assets using SecDB priceables - driving cashflow projections, yields under varying investing/market assumptions, valuations, etc.
  • Appreciating business nuances and implementing fund management models to track longer term portfolio performance
Qualifications
We're looking for motivated and driven individuals preferably with the below skillsets:
  • Strong technical background with Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical discipline
  • Excellent programming and software design skills in object orientated programming languages
  • Experience in Web application technology stack is preferred, such as Spring Boot, React, databases
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to present complex technical idea to a multitude of technical and non-technical audiences
