A global insurance firm is looking for a system manager with extensive Java experience to join their dynamic team. The manager will work closely with our cross-functional teams & vendors to ensure optimal system performance and scalability.
Responsibilities: - Lead team members & vendors, to work on and ensure the delivery of various IT projects.
- Develop and implement system procedures and standards with best practices and regulations.
- Collaborate with teams to gather requirements and design scalable solutions.
- Manage system implementation projects, coordinating with stakeholders for successful delivery.
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and security, optimizing efficiency and mitigating risks.
Requirements - University degree in Computer Science, or a related subject
- At least 5 years' experience in IT industry with at least 2 years of strong managerial experience (vendor management would be a huge plus)
- Proficiency in Core Java and Java Spring Boot
- Experience with MSQL, NSQL database, Kubernetes, API, MVC, CI/CD, Devops and Cloud
- Experience working in an Agile environment with strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Previous work experience within the financial services domain would be a plus
- Great communication skills, fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
- Hong Kong passport/work permit
