Senior Credit Manager - Corporate Risk & Compliance (Job ID 4415)

Responsibilities

  • Set policies and procedures on the credit risk related matters of the Wholesale Banking Division for complying with the regulatory requirements and internal risk management framework.
  • Review and monitor credit applications to ensure that they adhere to existing policy guidelines and delegated authority as well as to monitor account irregularities for identification, assessment and mitigation of potential credit risk.
  • Develop, enhance and implement control measures to rectify issues/ exceptions as identified by internal stakeholders and external auditors and regulators
  • Identify training needs and provide job-related training to staff to enhance their performance and skills
  • Assist ad-hoc projects as assigned

Requirements

  • University degree, preferably major in risk management, finance or related discipline
  • At least 7 years experience in corporate banking with strong knowledge on credit risk management and analysis
  • Thorough understanding of relevant policies, procedures, practices and rules issued by HKMA, SFC, IA and other regulatory bodies
  • Broad knowledge of corporate credit and lending principles, financial statement analysis and credit control
  • Strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, fluent in Putonghua is preferable

Candidate with less experience shall be considered as Credit Manager.
