Following a period of rapid growth, our specialist recruitment teams have expanded into areas outside of Banking, Finance, Legal, Governance, Risk and Compliance, most notably we are focussed on growing our IT/ Technology recruitment search teams. We are looking for a senior, experienced and technically competent Sales Professional or established recruitment professional to head up our Trading, Data Science & Quants Desk/ Teams.      

Experience / Responsibilities

Reporting to one of our Founding Managing Partners, as part of the Technology Recruitment Division in Hong Kong, you will lead and build up the APAC Trading, Data Science, Quants and AI recruitment and projects outsourcing teams.  

Ideally coming from industry or currently an experienced “Buy-Side” (particularly Investment Management, P/E, Hedge Funds, and Prop Trading Houses)  Senior Executive Search Specialist, you should have at least 10+ years experience or be able to demonstrate a very competent and detailed knowledge of Data Science, Quantitative Finance, Sales and Trading, for products like  FX, Equities or Fixed Income (including all associated products and assets classes) and have built up your own strong network and relationships of portable clients in the Hong Kong and APAC Buy-Side, Investment Management, P/E and alternative investments industry.   

Over time, you will be responsible to hire, train and manage a multi-lingual team of specialist recruitment and projects outsourcing consultants to service the Hong Kong and APAC Buy-Side.

Be overall responsible for various recruitment mandates and projects assignments.  

Personally execute and be responsible for full 360 degrees research, sourcing, recruitment, sales to closure of senior level career placements (VP up to CXO levels).

Communicate with management team of clients, networking with candidates, contacts and provide full scope business development activities from cold -calling, warm leads to full account management and post project support/ feedback.

Proceed with all kinds of necessary communication with candidates, client contacts including interviews, placement offer negotiations, and RFI/RFP drafting, projects management and scope, and negotiations of contracts and terms of business.

Researching (and teaching team members on research) on your specialized industry, markets mapping, and provide updated industry developments, and information to the company, to the clients and candidates.

Provide informative career consultation and coaching to different levels of candidates, senior to top level in particular.

Developing the company brand, yourself and your team(s), as a recognised specialist recruitment firm and search professionals in one of the most competitive, intellectually demanding and financially rewarding sectors and industries.

Requirements

University Graduates in any discipline, ideally in Banking and Finance or Mathematics. 

Minimum 10 -15 years of Full Life Cycle Sales experience in a similar industry or 10+ years of recruitment experience in a similar field.

Must have strong network and relationships of portable clients in the Hong Kong and APAC Buy-Side, Investment Management, P/E and alternative investments industry (clients lists will be required during the interview process).   

Confident personality, outgoing, with entrepreneurial mindset and excellent communication, spoken and written skills.

Can demonstrate business and commercial acumen, identify and focus on the priorities.

Have a good enquiring mind; always thinking ahead and anticipating problems/ solutions.

Personable, humble, down-to-earth, hungry for success and financial rewards.

Ability to focus for long periods, with excellent concentration, attention to detail and strong work ethics and high personal integrity.

Excellent communication and inter-personal skills - particularly in spoken and written English is a must.
