Job Summary:
HKEX is looking for a bright and engaged native English-speaking communications professional to join its Communications Team.

As part of the Group's Corporate Communications Division, the successful candidate will be a member of the Content team under Strategic Communications, playing an important role in contributing to the development of HKEX's strategic narrative by delivering timely, relevant, engaging and inspiring communications for its high profile and fast-paced business. The individual will collaborate with teams across the business and advise on content, helping translate ideas, messages and opportunities into a wide spectrum of communications materials for both internal and external audiences across HKEX's stakeholder universe.

Job Duties:

The best fit for the role will be a well-rounded team player who loves corporate and business writing / copyediting, understands financial markets, has a sharp eye for detail, delivers under time pressure and is willing to roll-up their sleeves and get involved.

The Group's Communications Team is responsible for developing and building the Group's external brand and helping frame and shape its internal culture. The team works closely with the HKEX Board, executives, senior management and business to ensure that HKEX's brand and reputation is accurately and positively reflected amongst its broad local, Mainland China and international stakeholder groups.

The Group's Corporate Communications Division oversees Financial and Executive Communications, Media & Government Relations, Digital & Social Communications, Brand, Content & Translation, Film Production, Internal Communications and Events Management.

Responsibilities:
  • Copywriting in English, delivery of consistent, high-quality messages across all communications channels including digital and social.
  • Developing high-impact corporate and executive communications content. These materials include CEO blogs, insight / thought leadership pieces, newsletters, talking points, creative copies, to social posts.
  • Working collaboratively across the team and business to develop content and thought leadership communications campaigns in support of business objectives; researching stories from across the organisation, repurposing existing client and marketing materials to maximise publicity and impact.
  • Copyediting of corporate marketing or thought leadership materials produced by other business departments, as and when necessary, to ensure message and style consistency across the board.
  • Acting as guardian for the brand tone of voice; ensuring consistency in terms of style and quality across all touch points, both online and offline.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in English, Journalism, Economics/Finance, and/or a related field.
  • At least three years' of relevant corporate communications experience for Associate position, at least eight years' experience for the Assistant Vice President position.
  • A proven track record of working in a complex multi-national business environment or agency; and developing and evolving content on behalf of businesses. Candidates with prior working experience in media organisations would be preferred.
  • Work experience and demonstrated understanding of relevant fields such as capital markets, fintech or market regulation.
  • Broader experience and understanding of technology, economics, global current affairs, sustainability or data would be a plus. Candidates should have a demonstrated portfolio of work.
  • Native English speaker with an outstanding command of English and attention to detail with excellent grammar, copywriting and editorial skills.
  • Skilled in delivering content-led communications campaigns, and an understanding of how to create content that draws and inspires an audience and at the same time achieving clear business objectives.
  • Self-starter with strong research skills and an ability to simplify complex subject matter.
  • Efficient project management skills including the ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-tasking, and working collaboratively across the team and business.
