The Company Our company is an Australian pension administrative company who recently partnered up with a MNC Bank in Hong Kong, with a lot of system integration, migration needed to be completed in the project.
The Role - Mentor, train, and lead a team of testers with no prior testing background, providing guidance and support throughout the testing process.
- Demonstrate and explain various test techniques, including test case design and planning, to the team members.
- Conduct formal training sessions on software testing to enhance the team's knowledge and skills.
- Perform hands-on technical testing, both manual and automated, to verify the functionality and quality of software applications.
- Lead and coordinate testing activities, including test planning, execution, and reporting, for assigned projects.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure testability of software components and early detection of defects.
- Conduct sustainability testing to validate the long-term performance and stability of software applications.
- Coordinate and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities to ensure the software meets business requirements.
- Conduct system testing on projects, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and adherence to project timelines.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and methodologies in software testing.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the testing function.
Your Profile - Proven experience as a Senior Test Lead or similar role, with a strong background in software testing.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of various test techniques, including test case design and planning.
- Experience in providing formal training on software testing methodologies and techniques.
- Proficiency in both manual and automated testing approaches.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of junior testers.
- Familiarity with sustainability testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes.
- Experience in testing on a system for project-based work.
- Possess relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Cantonese is required for this position.
