Overseeing the credit and portfolio monitoring for the corporate banking portfolio, primarily focused on SME Banking in Hong Kong.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee the credit and portfolio monitoring for the corporate banking portfolio, primarily focused on SME Banking in Hong Kong.

• Design, maintain and effectively communicate risk control parameters across SME Banking including control standards, risk exposure limits and other control levels in order to maintain the risk appetite.

• Closely monitor and handle all credit-related matters for the loan portfolio accounts, including reviewing credit grading, processing amendments/waivers, and monitoring covenants.

• Adopt a portfolio approach to credit risk monitoring, measuring loan performance against underwriting parameters (credit reports, bank statements and financial statements, etc.) and assessing business performance across industry and product segments.

• Conduct regular credit reviews and reporting to management on any credit-related issues or concerns.

• Support the team on regulatory and other internal compliance matters.

• Maintain strong working relationships with the front office to facilitate ongoing portfolio management.

• Develop recommendations to adjust scorecards, models, Basel and credit policies by analysing credit and financial.

• Performance and utilizing statistical scoring and regression and simulation techniques.


Requirements

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field.

• Uphold the integrity of risk/return decisions, by challenging business and control functions.

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in corporate credit and portfolio management.

• Strong understanding of corporate credit analysis, with a preference for candidates with SME lending experience.

• General knowledge of Hong Kong banking regulations and guidelines.

• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
