Responsibility:

Portfolio Management

  • Identify risk signals and oversee the credit portfolio of potentially SME problem credits and other troubled accounts, including non-performing loans.
  • Develop and execute tailored account strategies to mitigate risk, recover value from collateral, and minimize losses.
  • Monitor the overall asset performance closely and take necessary actions to protect the bank's interests.

Loan Workout and Restructuring

  • Collaborate closely with borrowers facing financial difficulties to find mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Conduct risk assessments on problem credit applications as well as annual reviews
  • Negotiate loan modifications, restructurings, and settlements to help distressed borrowers get back on track.
  • Work closely with external legal representatives and internal credit teams to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
  • Distressed assets transfer to Asset Management Company (AMC)

Collaboration and Reporting

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, including credit approver, in-house legal counsel, and senior management.
  • Prepare regular reports on credit quality, recovery efforts, and risk exposure.

Legal and Regulatory Compliance

  • Stay updated on relevant banking regulations, foreclosure laws, and bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Ensure full compliance with all legal requirements related to commercial/corporate banking.

Loss Mitigation

  • Implement effective loss mitigation strategies, such as loan sales to AMC, auctions, or asset disposition.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Work closely with RI Managers, SAM Managers, Credit Approvers and Relationship Managers.

 

Requirement:

  • University graduate preferably in finance, risk management, business or related discipline.
  • 5 years of working experience in commercial banking, especially risk identification and/or special assets management and knowledge of post approval credit monitoring is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of the local commercial market, especially the SME market
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
  • Able to work under pressure.
