Job Purpose:
Work in the Data Governance & Quality Management domain to serve as the contact point for governance, data quality and protection issues and work with Business and Function area leadership to improve the quality and value of core data assets as well as support the strategic data requirements of the group and provide guidance to others in data analytics projects from data governance perspectives.

Main Responsibilities:
• Maintain the data governance and management policy, guidelines and controls, oversee execution and review them on an annual basis.
• Rollout bank wide data governance framework, with a focus on improvement in data quality and protection of sensitive data through modifications to organizational behavior, policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture.
• Analyze compliance requirements, the current state of various data management areas; identify data risks and control or compliance gaps.
• Support Data Governance Committee to drive data governance initiatives towards the bank's data strategies and provide periodic progress reports to Data Governance Committee and task forces.
• Participate in Data Analytics Center of Excellence to support execution of bank's data strategy and management in all data-driven business initiatives.
• Participate in data analytics projects from data governance perspectives to provide guidance to ensure data is secure, private, accurate, available, and usable throughout the data life cycle.
• Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements across the bank and define the corresponding indicators of performance.
• Be responsible for understanding and managing the organizational data risks and issues, and coordinating with data owners to accept or resolve them.
• Design training and activities to promote organizational awareness and culture of data governance across People, Process and Technology.

Requirements:
• University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems and/or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years working experience in Data Governance from recognized establishments in financial services and/or banking sector.
• Experience in establishing and monitoring of data governance framework.
• Knowledge of industry leading data quality and data protection management practices.
• In-depth knowledge on business and operation models of banking, with thorough understanding on the local regulatory environment.
• Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of the enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection.
• Advanced analytical skills, be able to visualize opportunity and issues from data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Tools (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Word)
• Willingness to take challenges, resolve conflicts, and solve complicated problems.
• Competent in managing and communicating with senior stakeholders.
