Senior Backend Developer (Cloud / DevOps)

My client is a fast growing job platform for front-line positions in Hong Kong. They use AI and machine learning algorithms to match potential job seekers with employers. They are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering to join their team.

Omni Group Asia Ltd. - Hong Kong - Full time

Salary: HK$45k - HK$65k

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the cross-functional team to rapidly identify and resolve issues
  • Writing clean, maintainable code while rapidly iterating and shipping new features
  • Finding simple and elegant ways to solve problems.
  • Automate cloud infrastructure monitoring and scaling to ensure the stability of the system
  • Research on new technologies

Key Requirements:

  • Expertise in at least one modern server-side programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, Golang, Node.js, C#, Clojure, etc.)
  • 5+ years developing web application
  • Knowledge in RDBMS, NoSQL Database
  • Good knowledge of cloud instrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
  • Knowledge in building highly scalable systems
  • Experience writing unit tests and testable code
  • Willing to challenge outdated solutions and suggest a new approach to problems
  • Good written and spoken English 

Good-to-have

  • Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, etc.)
  • DevOps (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Large-scale architecture design
