Regional Head of Compliance, Fiduciary Firm *New Headcount*

Our client is an international and leading fiduciary services firm with global presence and a strong footprint in Asia. As a part of business expansion, they now have an additional headcount for a Regional Head of Compliance to lead the APAC team – with flexibility on location being Hong Kong or Singapore.

Salary: HK$140k - HK$150k

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide compliance and regulatory advice and guidance to the APAC jurisdictions (Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Australia, New Zealand, Japan), ensuring adherence to enterprise/local policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Manage stakeholders / regional teams at all levels and ensure are held compliant to set protocols
  • Proactively advising the trust, corporate services, private client businesses on compliance and regulatory matters related to new and existing business assessments
  • Manage the annual Compliance Monitoring Program across the APAC region
  • Keep abreast of updated regulatory trends and guide the business on relevant legal changes
  • Respond to and handle compliance reporting to key stakeholders, i.e. external regulators, risk/compliance leadership team, and relevant business leads
  • Support the Global Head of Compliance on wider business projects from a compliance perspective
  • Provide compliance training for internal employees on topics like AML/CFT, sanctions, etc
  • Collaborate with the APAC and Global Compliance team on work planning, setting objectives, managing deliverables, and performance

To be eligible for this role, you will require:

  • A relevant degree ideally in Law, Business, Finance or related subjects
  • Over 12+ years of experience in the financial services or fiduciary sector
  • Have had prior leadership experience of at least 5+ years
  • Have strong knowledge in the corporate services, private client or trust space
  • Strong regulatory knowledge in MAS, HKMA, ACRA, TCSP, etc
  • Strong business acumen and working compliance experience for the APAC landscape is a must
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal and management skills
