This role sits in the PHKL Investment team and is to support the operation manager and ensure PHKL comply with various internal and regulatory requirements. He/She will be assisting the project management of operational structure set-up via working with different key stakeholders within the company.
Job Descriptions:
- Perform regular exercise on procurement process of service providers (such as fund managers, custodian, collateral manager, etc.) and subcontractor. Prepare regular monthly report and filing for internal compliance and regulators.
- Coordinate communications between fund managers and investment colleagues for asset transfer implementation and support investment operation queries from internal finance team.
- Set up operational workflow for new fund or portfolio restructuring, such as account opening; and handle KYC requests from fund houses, service providers, derivative counterparties, etc.
- Review Investment Management Agreements and other legal documents with service providers, and facilitate the legal review and execution
- Co-ordinate Investment Committee agenda. Support the production of governance reports (e.g. incident reports) for Investment Operations and other information in the management information pack.
Job Requirements:
- University degree in Finance or related discipline.
- Professional qualification in CFA or equivalent would be an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience working in investment operations in an asset owner, investment bank or asset manager.
- Experience in operational and account set-up for cash and derivative funds would be advantageous. Knowledge of different financial instrument settlement cycle and structure.
- Experience in derivative operational management would be an advantage.
- Strong collaborative skills (experience in collaborating with multiple stakeholders is crucial) and project management skills.
