The role will lead and manage the DevOps team to define and implement strategies, support development and operations to improve the efficiency, reliability and scalability of product development and delivery processes.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the DevOps team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to team members. Define and enforce DevOps best practices, including version control, continuous integration, continuous deployment, and automated testing according to IT policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software solutions. Also collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize software development and delivery requirements to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement appropriate solutions. And to provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the status of DevOps initiatives, including progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Identify and implement tools and technologies to automate manual processes, increase efficiency, and enhance productivity.
  • Establish and maintain a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the DevOps team and across the IT department.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in DevOps, and evaluate their potential benefits and applicability to the organization.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years working experience in Information Technology.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a DevOps team in a fast-paced, enterprise-level environment.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and familiarity with cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience in incident management, change & release management.
  • Experience in people management and working with regulatory auditors.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, practices, and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Bash, and experience with infrastructure automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies, Agile practices, and Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluent in Cantonese and English
