A Corporate Bank is looking for a Team Head to join their Remittance and Payment Operations Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the remittance division, ensuring that all in/out remittance and local/global payment transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. The role will also involve managing project management, system enhancement, data migration, ISO20022, and MT to MX code for SWIFT.
Your new role
- Lead a team of 4 to perform the daily payment operations, including local and global payments processing, inward/ outward remittances, time deposit, clearing, end-to-end monitoring and investigation, to ensure efficient and optimal payment processing
- Supervise and authorizing daily bank payment activities
- Cooperate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations on payment
- Support and coordinate different types of project for streamline processing, system enhancement, and automation, such as ISO 20022, HKICL project and reporting, etc...Develop, execute, and monitor strategic plans and initiatives in alignment with organizational goals and objectives, driving innovation, efficiency, and growth while mitigating risks and optimizing resource allocation
- Lead and mentor a team of professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to maximize individual and team performance, foster a culture of collaboration, and promote employee engagement and retention
What you'll need to succeed
- A university degree is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in cash management, payment operations, and project management within the financial services industry.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teams, driving operational excellence, and implementing strategic initiatives.
- A strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese is necessary.
