Job Description: Responsibilities: Change Management Deliverables - Apply a structured methodology (e.g. Prosci), associated processes, and tools to create strategies that support adoption of the changes required by transformation initiatives.
- Identify the sponsors, steering committee and stakeholders for changes. Assess the impact of change on them, change capability, and readiness to adopt new ways of thinking, behaving, and working supported by action plan
- Support initiatives with actionable tactics for the change management levers: sponsorship, communications, training, resistance management, and ongoing monitoring of implemented changes.
Change Impact Assessment and Risk Mitigation - Partner with the program team to identify change risk and build a mitigation approach and actions
- Measure engagement, change readiness and adoption, identify risks, and proactively develop mitigation strategies
Stakeholder Management & Communication - Develop overall communications plan, format, delivery mechanism and content, relevant to each stakeholder group. Partner with program and other business teams to execute.
- Develop strong relationships with key business partners and recommend the right change management approach and tactics that help them achieve business objectives
- Develop a collaborative relationship with Program (execution) teams
Create Change Management capability - Establish change management practice by creating a change management framework and toolkit that can work for Sun Life, which include training modules, standard approaches to identify change risks, standard mitigation techniques, coaching, etc.
- Provide subject matter expertise to project teams to ensure successful planning, execution, and sustainability of change activities within those initiatives
Requirements: - University degree relevant to job responsibilities
- At least 8 years in a change lead role ideally within insurance, wealth management or banking
- Excellent track record in delivering large-scale organizational change efforts across process, people, and technology preferably in an insurance or financial services environment
- Exceptional presentation and communications skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand terms to all levels of management
- Excellent active listening skills with the ability to influence others and bring them on the change journey
- Adaptable and solution-oriented, with a track record of overcoming challenges in ambiguous situations
- Strategic mindset with the ability to connect change management efforts to overall organizational transformation goals
- Deep and practical understanding of change management practice
- Understanding of organizational change theories, methodologies, and best practices
- Change management certification or designation such as Prosciâ„¢
- Understanding of Life insurance processes would be preferred, including evolving business models in marketplace
