Manage the Actuarial IFRS Reporting team and personally contribute to:
• Produce timely actuarial actual reporting for IFRS measures to meet requirements of PHKL and Prudential Group.
• Provide necessary and sufficient analytical review and management control review to ensure the robustness and the explanation of the financials.

Provide leadership in Actuarial on IFRS reporting and contributing to the management of the Financial Reporting and Management section.

Possess the expertise on both technical and business sides, be able to understand and contextualize the numbers and the end-to-end solution design and co-operate with other teams across Actuarial and Finance for both BAU and change management.

Job Descriptions:

Work allocation, supervision and delivery:

Formulate the work plan, supervise the team to ensure all downstream production deliverables under IFRS17 Reporting team are completed in both quality and timely manner.

Result review, analysis and control : Lead the overall analytical review (sources of earning, analysis of movement) on most key finance disclosures on a holistic basis with the support from the team. Deep-dive, discover findings and provide solution and enhancement when necessary. Ensure proper governance, process and control are in place

KPI and Change management:

Manage and enhance IFRS operating profits (one of the KPIs), implement both methodology and assumption changes with the full consideration on financial and operational impacts.

Team management :

Educate and equip the team with both technical and business knowledge, as well as develop their soft skills

Job Requirements

  • Expect at least 8 years of working experience with 4 at managerial level.
  • Fellow Actuary
  • Financial reporting and management experience
  • Business and financial acumen for life insurance
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and to multiple business functions

  • Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Proven people and management skills
