We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Head of North Asia, Sales Effectiveness.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Embedding a disciplined sales management approach and culture through sales meetings, data-led analysis and insight on business performance; supporting RM market and IC team / desk heads in identifying opportunities relevant to macro / market trends
  • Supporting the development and execution of local and regional sales initiatives and campaigns in collaboration with RM / IC teams and product partners via opportunity analysis, book screening, outcome tracking and sales-enabling collateral (e.g. client narratives, success sharing etc.)
  • Driving the client planning framework and processes to ensure reviews are executed for high-opportunity clients; utilising the full ‘deal-team to follow through on targeted client activity to support commercial outcomes
  • Client Lifecycle Management: Supporting local management in achieving CLCM KPIs by providing clarity on client acquisition, activation, relationship deepening and stagnancy, thereby creating front office capacity and driving business growth.
  • Client analytics: working with centres of excellence to develop client insights and design processes to commercialise insights and drive growth
  • Championing sales tools and practices including embedding Microsoft Dynamics (CRM tool) within the sales operating rhythm. In turn, supporting Market and Desk Heads to leverage on the tools to drive sales activities eg pipeline and leads, providing visibility to and keeping track of outcomes
  • Proactive engagement and support of key stakeholders across RM and IC teams in enabling sales; to have a commercial mindset in terms of monetizing opportunities within book and understand business needs, working in tandem with senior management to deliver key business priorities
  • Be at the forefront of articulating and driving Sales Effectiveness objectives within booking centre and market teams
  • Sharing of best practices through and upholding the spirit of collaboration and learning within Asia Sales Effectiveness team
Requirements
  • Have high commercial acumen, a high level of sales management capacity and strong passion for driving business performance
  • Experience in wealth management is an advantage
  • Possess strong financial and analytical skills and be focused on understanding and measuring the performance of the business
  • Excellent communication skills: engaging and managing multiple and high level stakeholders, both regionally and globally
  • Proven ability to think strategically to drive change agendas and implement new approaches in accordance to overall business goals
  • Have strong influencing and teamwork skills
  • Ideally have experience in private banking, ideally understanding front office practices and the sales approach
  • Possess high integrity, be capable of driving and implementing change and be passionate about contributing to GPB and HSBC culture
  • Have a proven track record of adding value in global and matrix organisations
