We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a
Business Development Team Leader. Principal Responsibilities - Responsible for establishing and driving new business relationships and strengthening existing ones, whilst ensuring fair outcomes for all types of customers to fulfil their insurance needs
- Providing support to the communication of new products, propositions and relevant market information to customers
- Developing distribution channels people development initiatives, e.g. selling skill coaching, product knowledge training
- Managing a team of business development managers to execute plans and strategies to generate new business, increase revenue for existing ones and activate new branch distribution channels within HSBC Group
- Collaborating with multiple stakeholders, which may include branch managers, relationship mangers and product specialists, to maximise cross-selling opportunities for the bank
- Taking the lead in events, initiatives and activities to capture new business opportunities
- Protect the bank's reputation and ensuring an acceptable risk profile, whilst deepening your understanding of the client through credit and customer due diligence reviews
Requirements
- University degree in Business or related discipline
- Possess strong commercial thinking and business acumen – able to highlight key compliance and risk issues that could impact business performance
- Possess Insurance Intermediaries Qualifying Examination Paper, including Paper 1, 3, and 5
- Strong communication, organizational and project management skills
