The candidate will work closely with key stakeholders and development team on core systems. As core system is a critical internal system for supporting different core business functions, high capability to work individually and collaborate with distributed teams is required. In addition, the candidate will assist the supervisor to manage each project's scope and timeline in order to ensure the team's deliverables are up to quality standards.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist the supervisor to monitor and maintain system stability and provide solution to address the stability problem
  • Align with DevOps and Agile delivery approach, tooling and practices adoption
  • Follow the delivery control guideline required
  • Ensure compliance and regulatory requirements are met
  • Refactoring and continuous improvements of the code and processes
  • Ensuring risks are identified and mitigated as part of the agile development lifecycle
  • Contributing to the ongoing support of the apps and ecosystem
  • Capable to work individually and collaborate with distributed teams

Job Requirement
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering
  • Obtain 8+ years of IT development experience
  • Knowledge in insurance, banking and finance systems are an advantage
  • Solid experience in handling projects of various size
  • Strong in design, development and testing methodologies
  • Strong on problem solving skills

The following skills are required:
  • Any of programming languages : VB.Net, .Net, 4gl, SQL, Java, JavaScript,
  • Any of Relational Database related technologies, e.g. Informix, Oracle, MySql
  • Agile principles and processes methods with tools and process, e.g. Jira, Confluence, etc

The following skills will be an asset:
  • Backend development, e.g. Java EE, NodeJS on Typescript, Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, etc
  • Enterprise service bus (ESB) technology e.g. Spring Integration.
  • CI/CD tooling including Git, Ansible, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.
  • Public cloud services, e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.
  • Containerization/orchestration, e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
  • DevSecOps scanning tools, e.g. Fortify, Nexus, etc.
  • Any of NoSQL Database related technologies, e.g. MongoDB, CosmoDB
