Job Responsibilities - Support the Group Compliance function in the development and maintenance of data analytics within the Conduct Risk Framework, and in assessing and improving its effectiveness. Support the Group Compliance function in further developing and embedding the conduct risk programme and in assessing and improving its effectiveness.
- Collect, analyse and report on the conduct risk data provided by LBUs. Apply data analytics tools and techniques for detailed analysis, to determine cause and effect from conduct metric data. Engage with Group Compliance and LBU stakeholders to determine root causes and supervise the development and implementation of remedial action plans. Report on insights, analysis outcomes and actions to stakeholders.
- Support compliance related work, including the assessment, analysis, review and approval of various conduct related risks, incidents or issues, assessment of COI, including the review of COI declarations. Support uplifting conduct risk knowledge across the Group. Undertake risk-based assurance reviews, deep-dives and read-across reviews, as required.
- Keep aware of emerging trends and risks within conduct, and be able to anticipate risks through data analysis and data analytics. Provide Senior Management with insights through data, informing any action to be taken to mitigate conduct risk exposure. Engage with the compliance teams on conduct matters, including sharing developments, issues, risks, and improvement areas.
- Undertake relevant projects and initiatives related to the above work-areas, as and when assigned, such as further development, automation and digitalisation of conduct metrics, and other processes and procedures with respect to COI and PAD.
Job Requirements - Minimum 5-10 years of hands-on technical experience in data analysis. Must be proficient with statistical data analysis.
- Proficiency in using data analysis and reporting software (such as Power BI and/or Alteryx), database management and systems analysis.
- Experience within the Insurance industry and/or experience of working in a first line operational data analytics role, customer service analytics role, or audit / compliance / risk management environment is an advantage.
- Experience of working in an audit / compliance / risk management environment.
- Strong analytical skills, in particular the ability to draw logical conclusions from a range of diverse source materials and present them in a clear and engaging way.
- Good written English, including the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate complex issues in a way appropriate for a range of senior audiences.
- Competent stakeholder management and presentation skills.
- Ability to identify, build and manage work relationships.
- Ability to exercise a high degree of cultural sensitivity and inspire trust.
- Good team player, who can win and maintain the professional respect of the team.
- Good attention to detail.
