Within the Group Head Office finance function, the Group Financial Reporting team has responsibility for the end to end production and delivery of Prudential's external reporting to shareholders and internal reporting to senior Group Head Office management. This role is to manage the end-to-end BU IFRS submission and review process to support the consolidation and preparation of the Group's IFRS results and financial statements for UK and US filings and other reporting, including quarterly trading updates.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ownership of the end to end process to plan, co-ordinate and manage the BU IFRS submissions, including via Onestream, and data quality review at each reporting cycle. Manage BU progress and escalate and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop strong IFRS technical expertise to support the preparation of the Group's disclosures and Provide analysis to senior management on financial information and disclosures.
  • Provide value add support and technical expertise to Bus on reporting related and Onstream issues,. Manage and develop relationship with wider finance and system teams for issues resolution.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance and actively drive efficiency in the reporting process, in particular working closely with the wider finance team to manage the successful implementation of changes

Candidate Specifications :

  • University graduate in Accounting, Finance or relating discipline.
  • Qualified accountant with strong IFRS knowledge. Insurance experience is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail while able to consider big picture
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Office and Powerpoint. Comfortable with using complex IT systems and large data volumes. Experience on OneStream is an advantage.
  • Proficient in English
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
