Paralegal / Legal Documentation
Location: Central, Hong Kong
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of agreements for execution and its clients;
- Filing of documents and organizing files/records;
- Conducting legal research;
- Assisting with investigating disputes and regulatory investigations;
- Preparing written reports;
- Maintaining legal/case files (for example, maintaining a register of legal contract amendments);
- Assisting with drafting documents;
- Managing administrative dialog with internal stakeholders and external counsel;
- invoice management; and,
- Ad hoc tasks include collecting/collating documents from internal record systems and supporting special/ad-hoc projects.
Requirements:
- University graduate or student in a reputable university or career paralegal with a demonstrable track record
- Depending on academic qualifications, at least three years of related working experience in a law firm or with an in-house legal function. Experience within the financial services industry would be an advantage (for example, broker, bank, insurer, or regulator);
- Mature, self-motivated, and independent;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Highly organized and detail-oriented;
- Responsible, trustworthy with a positive attitude and a good team player;
- Proficiency in MS Office applications; and,
- Excellent written and spoken English and strong Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) language skills are advantages.
