Sales Specialists are responsible for driving LSEG's strategy for growth and market differentiation. They work with and provide market insight to our Product Management and Account Management teams to support execution of this strategy. You will act as a subject matter specialist in support of Account Managers by focusing on sales for the Investment Banking proposition in Shanghai. You will also lead deals aligned to specific propositions and serve accounts within a defined territory. The role works in close partnership with internal partners to proactively drive gross sales and revenue. Coverage Includes: Bankers from Corporate Banking, Institution Banking, M&A, DCM, ECM, Syndicated loans, Public financings, Project finance, Joint ventures etc.
Responsibilities: - Strong at hunt, structure, negotiate and close deals.
- Develop the sales strategy for their proposition within their territory.
- Proactively identify pipeline opportunities, governed by the Account Managers.
- Provide insights and share LSEG thought leadership on their proposition with customers.
- Deliver customer demonstrations on their specific propositions.
Qualification, Skills and Experience Required: - Degree or equivalent experience in finance or banking or Industry qualifications, CFA preferred.
- Deep market understanding including a) authority understanding of financial market b) knowledge of CRM system c) strong understanding of customers' business model workflow.
- Extraordinary selling skills (identify, develop, & articulate proposition/ consultative selling) as a "hunter".
- Strong sales 'closer' and strong communication skills.
- Strategic Territory Planning and execution skills.
- Significant Product and Workflow Expertise (e.g. knowledge of financial modelling, Excel, MS Office).
- Technical knowledge on API's, Feeds and Python.
- Creative thinker and good sales conceptualization skills.
- Ability to organize and complete a sales plan.
- Over 5 years of industry, sales, or market experience.
- Proven track record in a quota bearing sales environment.
- Experience selling to C- level executives.
Scope and Impact: - Leads routine projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
- Provides input to department objectives and goals of a sub-Business Unit or function.
- May lead budgets for small projects or programs.
- Advises middle management on functional matters, or on interpretation of policies and practices.
Strategic Planning & Decision Making - Makes recommendations that may shape operational strategy.
- Resolves nature of sophisticated or undefined problems; independently identifies the best solution from many alternatives.
- Calls out higher risk or more unique problems.
- Decisions require interpretive thinking and some judgment in developing solutions.
