Sales Specialist - Data and Feeds

Position Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a business-savvy salesperson to join a growing cross-regional APAC team and cover the 'Investment Solutions' business line. The role specializes in leading and structuring sales of software and data products to Portfolio Managers and Analysts, Quantitative Researchers, Economists, Academics and other data-driven professionals. Recently the business has grown significantly, and with an exciting roadmap of new products and improvements (ESG datasets, NLP Sentiment Models, Cloud-based databases, etc.). We are looking for someone to drive the business to both existing and new clients, with future potential territory expansion depending on performance. The role will receive extensive training and support, and involves working in close partnership with internal team members from account managers, solutions consultants and customer success managers to proactively drive revenue growth.

Role Responsibilities
  • Creatively structure, progress and close deals within assigned territory
  • Proactively and consistently hunt for new opportunities
  • Build long term relationships with clients across the financial industry, but also extending to universities, FinTechs, Consultancies, etc.
  • Deliver customer demonstrations on our product offerings

Qualifications and Experience Required
  • Deep understanding of the financial sector in Japan (especially the buyside)
  • Strong sales 'closer'
  • Native Japan and Business English a must
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Experience driving sales strategies
  • 3-6 years of industry, sales or market experience
  • Proven record in a quota bearing sales environment
  • Experience selling SaaS solutions a plus

Hybrid working: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home
