Insurance (General insurance) Head of Finance

Responsibilities 

• Key person in financial control.
• Review the daily finance operation and reporting of General Insurance, ensure the  daily operation is running smoothly.
• Review the payment and receipt journals and month end closing.
• Prepare premium / claims / reinsurance data for actuarial team, business, auditor,  regulatory filing.
• Handle data and reports reconciliation.
• Involve in various projects such as IFRS 17 implementation and HKRBC.
• Handle investment projects.
• Prepare supporting documents, financial statements and other statutory filings for external auditors and regulator.
• Involve in business initiatives, systems enhancements and finance projects.
• Carry out ad hoc and other duties assigned from time to time.
• Report to CEO.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Accounting and professional accountancy qualification.
• 5 years general insurance experience in financial accounting field with audit experience.
• General Insurance business experience is must.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with good written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
• Responsible, self-motivated and pro-active.
• Able to work under pressure and able to solve problem independently.
• Detail-minded with strong sense of responsibilities, good working attitude.
• Able to work with and analyze large amount of data.
• Proficient in Microsoft office and Chinese word processing
