Vice President - Institutional Sales for Greater China to join the team in Hong Kong. The role will be responsible for the implementation and execution of the sales strategy for all the markets in Greater China (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan & Macau). He/she will drive sales results and will work closely with the investment and distribution functions to deliver positive net sales, maintain strong channel relationships, enhance the prominence and perception of the Franklin Templeton brand in the institutional market.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position? - Actively engage with prospects and clients by identifying and developing new opportunities for the Greater China region
- Maintain sales CRM and monitor any follow up items
- Client centric and collaborate with internal teams to develop and deliver customized solutions to address client-specific goals
- Collaborate with the firm's investment management teams, marketing support, portfolio administration, performance and risk analytics units for projects, events or initiatives
- Review and develop sales presentations, marketing brochures, regular communication materials, RFPs, information requests and industry surveys from clients, prospects and consultants
- Stay updated with market trends, competitor analysis and that may impact institutional markets in the region
- Attend industry conferences, seminars and networking events to enhanced brand awareness and generate new business opportunities
What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful? - Minimum university degree, preferably in a finance or marketing discipline
- Type 1 and 4 SFC license is highly desirable. CFA or CAIA is a plus
- Minimum 5 years working experience in sales/business development roles within asset management firms
- Technical depth and understanding across a wide of asset classes including fixed income, equity alternatives, solutions and digital strategies with insights into regional client needs, regulatory constraints and buying behavior
- A robust network of relationships with Greater China institutional asset owners
- Proven track record of delivering sales results in Greater China institutional market
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams
- Fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
