Job Descriptions:
- Develop and conduct robust actuarial analysis on the formulation of new business and product pricing under various financial reporting measures (including EEV, RBC, GIECA, IFRS17) for product feasibility study and approval. Prepare indicative pricing and assessment for the management team for decision making. Bring insight to recommendation and implications. Prepare approval document and facilitate the approval from local management and regional office.
- Review marketing materials and provisions to ensure appropriate message in relation to policyholder reasonable expectation are properly in place and comply with regulatory guidelines. Ensure the user acceptance test performed by Actuarial Product Management team are in good standing before implementation.
- Coordinate with local management team, regional office, and distribution channels and other internal departments to support their project initiatives through performing risk / financial analysis. Provide actuarial support and recommendation and solutions to day-to-day operational issues and enquires.
- Ensure the quality of work produced by the team through supervision, guidance and coaching of subordinates on actuarial / product / insurance knowledge.
Job Requirements:
- University graduate majoring in Actuarial Science or related curriculum
- Fellow of the Societies of Actuaries or equivalent
- At least 4-6 years relevant actuarial working experience-Experience in pricing is an advantage
- Strong communication skill and command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
- Solid actuarial knowledge and financial modeling skills.
- Knowledge in Prophet model programming is preferred and stochastic modelling skill is desirable
- Experience in coaching junior actuarial staff and managing a team
