Principal Accountabilities: 1. Business as Usual (BaU) Responsibilities:
- Financial Management information: Support the production of the BAU sales, planning, monitoring and forecasting deliverables with high quality and clearly presented to senior leadership.
- Business Plan: Support the end-to-end Business Planning process ensuring that it is well set-out and executed to the required timelines and standards.
- Annual Financial Targets Reporting: Support the production of the annual financial targets including setting, monitoring, and potential scenarios/alternative outcomes for both local and Group businesses/employees. Support the communication of agreed Financial targets and achievements to LBUs senior leadership including resolution of any arising conflicts.
- 3-year Cycle Ownership: Support the 3-year cycle for the long-term incentive KPI, assessing relevance and recommending changes to the KPI assessed against.
- Predictive and Retrospective Analysis: Perform predictive and retrospective analysis of financial and non-financial information against targets set and identify and manage trends and patterns.
- Process, Controls and Governance: Maintain and enhance the processes, controls, and governance used to produce the required deliverables by improving the underlying data analytic capabilities, the underlying tools and systems used and documentation of the production processes.
- Ad-hoc requests: Support production of ad-hoc management reports and presentations and provide ad-hoc CFO support as necessary.
2. Change / Project Responsibilities:
From time to time, the role is expected to support various Group projects related to the management and optimisation of new opportunities of the Group. Key project areas where the role will be expected to make a significant contribution include:
- Support of assigned Finance projects e.g. finance modernisation. Enhance the existing MI and Planning process and controls by design and implement strategic checks and controls and enhance the MI and Planning deliverables by improving the underlying data analytic capabilities.
Candidate Requirements: - 6-9 years of relevant industry experience in life insurance industry (e.g. financial analyst, actuary, accountant, data analytics).
- Strong ability of independent thinking, problem solving and willing to take initiatives.
- An analytical mindset, with the ability to identify and bring out the critical message from a broad set of information.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to be able to present the financial results and information to the senior leaders and manage a number of team members.
- Experience at producing high-quality reports and content for the senior management and other senior governance committees.
- Highly-developed teamworking skills with ability to engage across the team and with other functions to co-deliver objectives.
