Job Summary:
The Emerging Systems team is responsible for helping the firm explore new business models through design, test and delivery of technology platforms via iterative Minimum Viable Products (MVPs).
Job Duties:
The role involves collaborating with technology partners to implement new cloud-native applications. As part of solution delivery, you will collaborate with development teams to ensure software solutions meet coding standards and other IT teams on internal integration .
You will also work with a team of system designers and analysts who have a deep understanding of capital markets industry use cases and passionate about using technologies to solve industry-specific problems at-scale.
Responsibilities:
- Support project implementation activities, including technical requirements analysis, solution architecture, system documentation, software deployment and application integration within enterprise environments
- Collaborate with other IT teams to deploy cloud applications and integrate them with internal services, and ensuring application meets architecture, security and network requirements
- Conduct system tests and provide operational support to business users during testing phases
- Investigate and resolve application design defects and technical issues
- Carry out production support and BAU tasks
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent working experience.
- Minimum 5-7 years of cloud application development, implementation or deployment experience, 3 years of software engineering experience (e.g. Java, JavaScript or Python)
- Knowledge of major public cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud, Huawei.
- Hands-on practical experience deploying applications using cloud technologies, such as compute, containerization, storage, network and database
- Good understanding and experience in DevOps / CI/CD practices and tools (e.g. Jira, Git, Jenkins etc.).
- Experience of working within a structured project management framework, adopting agile and/or waterfall software delivery principles.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience architecting / developing applications within the financial services or capital markets industry is an advantage.
- Experience with frontend development frameworks (e.g. React, Material UI) is an advantage.
