KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage end-to-end processes and associated risks effectively, aligning with the business strategy and the Banks standards.
  • Identify, manage, and escalate material risks proactively in accordance with the Banks Risk Management framework.
  • Serve as the Compliance Representative, offering advice on AML issues, system enhancements, policy and procedure revisions, FATCA, CRS implementation, OR issues, PDPO, and more.
  • Oversee AML/KYC/IRA/Audit projects, including daily KYC reassessment tasks, and monitor AML and KYC risks by implementing the Banks anti-money-laundering procedures, including client rectification and transaction monitoring.
  • Represent Commercial Banking in various committee meetings such as ICCO, AMLCC, ORM, Procurement Committee, SAC, and CRS Committee.
  • Implement and manage the Operational Risk Framework (ORF) continuously.
  • Provide regulatory and compliance advice to front, middle, and back office teams.
  • Liaise with local regulators, handle regulatory inquiries, audits, inspections, questionnaires, and surveys.
  • Conduct training on AML-related matters, new rules and regulations, and promote compliance awareness and culture.
  • Investigate potential compliance incidents or breaches in collaboration with internal parties.
  • Prepare regular updates for management on the KYC portfolio, including trigger events, and provide opinions and advice on AML matters.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory frameworks to avoid reputational, operational, or credit loss.
  • Monitor, control, and support trade finance-related issues, and ensure the implementation of policies and procedures within the Division.
  • Manage the business analysis team, project management team, account opening support team, and NGS support team, providing support for budgeting, expense control, business analysis, system and workflow enhancement projects, and account opening.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree holder or equivalent, with a preference for ECF qualifications.
  • At least 10 years of experience in commercial banking and credit.
  • Strong understanding of control, compliance, credit, audit, and operational risk concepts.
  • Extensive knowledge of business planning/monitoring, MIS management, and KYC assessment/reassessment.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong supervisory skills.
