We are currently looking for a Head of Georgeson to lead the Asia team.

A role you will love

The Head of Georgeson, Asia will be accountable for building and maintaining relationships with complex, high profile revenue generating client portfolios. The role also leads the local office team ensuring high performance, excellent client service and driving market share. It provides subject matter expertise and thought leadership to the wider business. The role also requires ability to navigate the organisation effectively at all levels while being ambassador for the team internally and externally.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
  • Lead, direct and support the local team to achieve challenging business objectives, developing tactical and strategic approaches to delivery of agreed projects.
  • Drive and support the team's efforts to proactively manage client actions, anticipate issues and implement solutions, through close working relationships and service excellence, exceeding client's expectations.
  • The pursuit of new business opportunities, maintaining a robust and qualified business pipeline and comprehensive coverage of the local listed company industry.
  • Developing and executing new business strategies.
  • Overseeing project work in order to ensure effective service delivery, effectively communicating and negotiating project requirements with clients and with internal account management teams.
  • Maintaining and growing knowledge in our key service areas to deliver successful outcomes to our clients.
  • Maintaining, developing and strengthening both internal and client relationships
  • Engaging with the market through industry events, enterprise think tanks, speaking opportunities, etc

What will you bring to the role?
  • Successful track record in a sales and/or business development role within the financial services environment (investment banking, investor relations, institutional/wholesale funds management industry, corporate governance, equity capital markets).
  • It would be ideal to have experience across the APAC region, and would prefer for someone who has experience working in the China markets.
  • Proven ability to engage and consult with a wide range of stakeholders including Directors & C-Suite executives or IR professionals.
  • Knowledge of the financial markets and industry including contacts within key intermediary networks such as Investment Banks, Law firms, Public Relations and Investor Relations.
  • Superior communication skills including experience writing and presenting proposals
  • The ability to exceed set objectives, goals and KPIs.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement business strategies.
  • A strong client focus and the ability to deliver outcomes that exceed business and client expectations.
  • Excellent management and motivational skills with experience of leading a diverse team along with developing tactical and strategic approaches.
  • Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
