Director / Executive Director (ECM - Equity-linked)

Job Description

• Handling Equity Capital Markets (ECM) assignments, including IPOs, rights issues, block trades and equity-linked offerings and other capital market activities. Strong emphasis on the equity-linked product capability.
• Play a leading role in deal origination and execution, which includes preparation of pitching materials, meeting clients and performing any corporate finance analysis prospective and existing clients may require.
• Executing ECM transactions, performing due diligence together with sector specialists, and building relationships with clients and internal stakeholders across coverage, sales & trading as well as corporate support areas.
• Addressing client enquiries and actively engaging in conversations with clients. Keeping abreast of corporate developments and rules and regulations in Hong Kong and across Asia.

Role Prerequisites

• 10 years or above solid relevant working experience in ECM, especially equity-linked products origination, from a bulge bracket.
• Ability to prepare quality materials and to present to clients convincingly, with very little supervision from senior colleagues.
• Track record of completed ECM transactions.
• Historical exposure to clients with a few client relationships in place.
• Strong entrepreneurial and team spirit, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Flexible to work beyond normal hours.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Putonghua).
