Job duties:
  • Supervise the daily operations of the Corporate Action team, overseeing the entire life cycle of various events like Rights Issues, stock splits, spin-offs, Redemptions, Bonus Issues, conversions, takeovers, IPO/Placings, Proxy voting, etc., and ensuring timely client notifications.
  • Establish and maintain effective controls for managing responses and inquiries from retail clients, executing their requests accurately.
  • Maintain precise records in internal systems and ensure their accuracy.
  • Prepare and reconcile US income for filing annual tax returns with the IRS.
  • Create and update procedures consistently, with a focus on accuracy.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to existing processes to enhance service quality, streamline processes, and minimize risks.
  • Engage in platform transformation initiatives, driving User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and system migrations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, coupled with relevant industry expertise.
  • More than 8 years of pertinent experience in corporate actions, with familiarity and understanding of the US market being advantageous.
  • Proficiency in collaborative teamwork and a demonstrated capacity for strong leadership to drive resolutions for intricate challenges.
  • Meticulous attention to detail alongside a holistic view and adept management of conflicting priorities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities. Proficient in building and nurturing effective relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, including at senior levels.
