Responsibilities
- The incumbent will perform independent assessment on credit proposals, provide recommendations or make credit decisions according to delegated authorities
- Assist Section Head / Co-Head of Credit Risk Management Department in identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting of credit risk according to the Banks internal policies and the prevailing regulatory requirements
- Support Section Head / Co-Head of Credit Risk Management Department in ad hoc projects of credit risk for the Bank Group
- Maintain regular dialogue with business units for ensuring prompt alert to market changes, taking proactive measures in credit risk mitigation, and adhering to the established credit risk management guidelines and procedures
Requirements
- University graduate, with professional qualifications (including but not limited to HKMAs Enhanced Competency Framework on Credit Risk Management) preferred
- Minimum of 5 years practical banking experience in relation to corporate credit assessment or approval
- Comprehensive knowledge of corporate and commercial banking products, relevant regulatory requirements and market practices
- Open-minded, able to adapt to changes and strive for excellence through innovative credit initiatives or process enhancement
- Independent and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Good analytical and report writing skills, and good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
