This role is a Senior Manager, Trading on the Outsourced Trading desk with responsibility for managing the Hong Kong based team and being actively involved executing orders for our clients. Multi-asset expertise is preferred with a primary focus on Equities and Equity Derivatives trading (however macro trading experience is a plus). As a Senior Manager, responsibilities include supervising all execution and client interaction and ensuring that all rules and regulations are followed (as the designated Responsible Officer). In an execution capacity, an understanding of both low-touch (electronic / algorithmic) as well high-touch (matched flow, block inquiries) is required. Clear and concise communication with both clients and executing brokers is critical.
Responsibilities: - Execution of client orders in compliance with best execution requirements and the provision of client specific information (portfolio/market news and analysis).
- Deep understanding of trading strategies that apply to Long Short Equity, Event Driven, Arbitrage, Macro
- Assist with evaluating and managing relevant risks and ensuring all operations are in full compliance with respective laws and regulations.
- Manages key client relationships in the region, having regular dialogue to facilitate optimized workflows and increased client satisfaction.
- Builds strategic relationships with both clients and brokers, helping maximize engagement and value added services as well as generating new client referrals.
- Establishes familiarity with all clients and their specific workflows across markets, asset-classes & execution channels.
- Helps train team members on technical aspects of client workflows (at implementation and ongoing).
- Acts as a team lead on client implementation in conjunction with Professional Services in the region.
- Consults with clients on execution strategy and performance, utilizing TCA and delivering insight on ways to improve based on our data & analytics. Responsible for delivery of relevant client reporting (executions, TCA etc)
- Develops and maintains key broker relationships as well as other referral sources.
- Communicates regularly with the regional LSEG TORA sales teams on prospect identification and follow-up.
Lastly, business development is a big part of this role - working directly with the regional Head of Sales for TORA as well as establishing relationships with referral sources such as Prime Brokers. As such sales experience is necessary, with the ability to articulate our message and key differentiators to prospects and a willingness to work in conjunction with the Sales team toward the goal of growing our client base.
The individual will be expected to become familiar with LSEG TORA's suite of products and services, working with various teams to service existing clients and identify potential opportunities.
