Job Description:

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the HKRBC and BMA quarterly and annual statutory filings to regulators, coordinate with finance, actuarial and other teams for input.
  • Review journals and financial returns on a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with internal control framework and local regulatory requirements
  • Conduct various financial analysis and reconciliation, address issues/queries raised by management, regulators, internal stakeholders, internal/ external auditors
  • Liaise with external auditors for queries and requests related to HKRBC audit
  • Assist in adopting new or changes in regulatory reporting requirements from regulators, including leading the gap analysis, reviewing & providing feedback in consultation papers, coordinating the execution steps in implementing the changes
  • Participate in automation project for streamlining the HKRBC reporting process and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements
  • Any ad hoc tasks on request

Job requirements
  • Qualified accountant with at least 8 years of finance and accounting experience
  • Degree holder in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
  • Working experience in Life insurance industry or insurance audit is preferred
  • Pro-active, possess strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail, able to work under pressure, think and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in MS excel and SAP is preferred
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
