Job Description: Job Responsibilities - Responsible for the HKRBC and BMA quarterly and annual statutory filings to regulators, coordinate with finance, actuarial and other teams for input.
- Review journals and financial returns on a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with internal control framework and local regulatory requirements
- Conduct various financial analysis and reconciliation, address issues/queries raised by management, regulators, internal stakeholders, internal/ external auditors
- Liaise with external auditors for queries and requests related to HKRBC audit
- Assist in adopting new or changes in regulatory reporting requirements from regulators, including leading the gap analysis, reviewing & providing feedback in consultation papers, coordinating the execution steps in implementing the changes
- Participate in automation project for streamlining the HKRBC reporting process and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements
- Any ad hoc tasks on request
Job requirements - Qualified accountant with at least 8 years of finance and accounting experience
- Degree holder in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
- Working experience in Life insurance industry or insurance audit is preferred
- Pro-active, possess strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail, able to work under pressure, think and work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient in MS excel and SAP is preferred
- Fluent in spoken and written English
