What is this position about?
APAC Projects & Change Management Team is a transversal project team under CIB ITO - Global Markets & ALMT Operations. As a project manager in this team, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of change initiatives and transformation projects to enhance operational efficiency and streamline processes for Global Markets & ALMT Operations Teams. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring successful implementation of project objectives.
In particular, the team will have the specific responsibilities:
• Coordinate and support management on APAC Operations strategic projects
• Collaborate with other Transformation teams by being the APAC GM Ops SPOC for global Ops Projects or Business-Driven projects.
• Support the regional operation teams in the Hubs, ISPL and local entities for specific projects.
What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like?
Project management
• Lead Projects initiated by GM&ALMT Operations from planning to execution, monitoring the progress at every stage and proving a periodic update to key stakeholders.
• Define governance and organize steercos or any other meetings related to the project.
• Develelop comprehensive project plans including project roadmap, timelines, milestones and risk assessments.
• Contribute as Ops SPOC to projects led by other business partners (FO, IT, Finance, DRIVE)
Process Optimization
• Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance business processes.
• Synthesize information obtained from study on processes or organization (as-is mapping, pain points, workflow, RACI) and formalize the output (TOM Proposal, Process Improvement Recommendations) for presentation and sign-off of sponsors & stakeholders.
Change Management
• Design and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems.
• Work closely with cross functional teams to drive change and achieve project goals.
What is required for you to succeed?
Experience and Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years work experience in a financial services firm with at least 2 years in project management
• Knowledge of Global Market Operations.
• Knowledge of finance /risk systems and accounting.
• Experience with process improvement methodologies.
• Strong Project Management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to interact with senior management.
• Strong problem-solving, presentation and negotiation skills
Technical and Behavioral Competencies
Good communication skills: Verbal & Written Skills in English. Work with other teams and functions. Interact across countries, cultures and external contacts when necessary. Deal with senior management. Speak with confidence.
Project Management Skills: Ability to run high profile and complex projects by leveraging on tools and methodologies in order to provide regular and clear updates and ensure that projects are led to completion
Operational Risk: Strong understanding of Operational Risk framework and policies in order to design solutions in line with the Bank's risk control principles.
Self-discipline, strong autonomy, dynamic and proactive approach: being a self-starter. i.e. whenever a new topic/ issue comes up, proactively investigate, mobilize relevant stakeholders to come up with a remediation/ solution proposal to Business, and with minimal supervision.
Organization understanding: Ability to understand operational processes and synthesize data/information. Strong understanding of the organization. Ability to navigate across all Operational teams and leverage network to help find consensus.
Innovation & initiatives: Demonstrate willingness to constantly challenge the status quo and improve processes.
