Overview
A corporate bank with high growth plans in the region is seeking to hire a Team Head - Loan Syndications to originate syndicated loans and help the bank build their competitive edge in the market with an interest increasing their South East Asia business.
Role Responsibilities
- You will be responsible to structure, underwrite, distribute and execute corporate syndication loans in HK and China ranging from plain vanilla corporate loan to structured transaction.
- Formulate sound syndication strategy to achieve required sell-down of loan transactions whether underwritten or best efforts.
- Launch new syndicated loans and to identify the potential participating banks and find secondary buyers if necessary.
- Follow up with participating banks during distribution process and to provide them with additional information to facilitate their credit approvals including loan documentation.
- Maintain regular dialogue with loan investors under coverage to source liquidity, gather market intelligence and identify market trend for the team;
- Establish and maintain contacts with targeted banks, rating agencies, legal and relevant stakeholders to ensure generation of successful transaction.
- Negotiate satisfactory terms and conditions including financial covenants and forms of security in order to comply with lending criteria
- Handle full spectrum of activities for securing the transaction comprising of sales, credit analysis, due diligence in executing opportunities and documentation
- Structure bespoke financing solutions to meet the needs of both the borrower and investors.
- Support and grow the sales network and loan trading platform in Asia
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years' experience in Banking experience in underwriting and distribution of syndicated loan including structured finance products.;
- Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance or Economics from a reputable university
- Network in banking (market top tier bank and participant banks) and Institutional Investors
- Familiar with Loan arranger, underwriting and distribution
- A true leader with a strategic mindset
- Proficient in Mandarin and Cantonese
