Job Description What is the opportunity? As the Associate, Business Operations and Administration (4 month contract), you will be responsible for assisting trade processing and portfolio maintenance.
What will you do? - Assist in trade processing and portfolio maintenance:
- Confirm all trades on Charles River trade order investment management system by matching broker confirmations
- Communicate settlement instructions to custodians
- Ensure trade settlements are carried out smoothly by coordinating with brokers and custodians
- Update and reconcile portfolio records periodically with FMC portfolio management system data
- Monitor corporate action notifications and submit responses
- Maintain files for all necessary data and records related to fund transactions
- Maintain accurate expense records and process payments in a timely manner by coordinating with Hong Kong Finance and Toronto office
- Assist in tasks related to investment controls, such as investment mandate checks
- Provide support for any ad hoc requests and queries from various stakeholders
What do you need to succeed? Must-have - University degree holder
- Minimum 4 years of Mid-office/ Investment Operations experience preferably from buy-side
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both written and oral English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Able to meet deadlines and handle high pressure
- Proven organization skills with strong attention to details
- A team player and able to work independently
- Demonstrated computer skills, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Flexible and willing to take up a wide variety of administrative works
Nice-to-have - Knowledge of Bloomberg and Charles River trade order investment management system will be an advantage
- Familiar with Asian securities markets and the respective rules preferred
