- Develop new business with major institutions in the Greater China region.
- Meet the defined sales targets through implementation of a successful sales plan which targets major institutions in the Greater China region as well as Consultant Relationship requiring identification of new business opportunities and driving transactions.
- Develop but also maintain strong relationships with institutional sales accounts and Consultants via a strategic programme of calls, meetings and attendance at industry events.
- Play a key role in servicing existing clients of AXA IM in the Greater China region as well as cross-selling activities.
- Effectively communicate the investment style, products and performance to prospective clients across all major asset classes.
- Build strong internal relationships with the Investment Teams and other relevant internal functions to provide market intelligence and to identify new product opportunities via regular meetings and informal contacts.
- Work collegially with other sales counterparts, i.e. Retail & Wholesale Distribution, JVs, WFOE, Marketing & Client Servicing, to maximize business development opportunities
- Perform other tasks and projects as assigned from time to time
Your Profile The ideal candidate is a tenacious and highly energetic individual who is driven by results. S/he should have a strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to demonstrate a strong track record in sales and marketing within the Greater China markets. Bringing a robust understanding of the market in which s/he operates, the ideal candidate will combine individual drive with flexibility and team-orientated qualities.
Education / Qualifications: - Degree and/or an MBA or MS degree
- CFA is desirable
- Cantonese and Mandarin speaker is a must
Experience: - 7 years in an institutional sales role from the asset management industry with solid track record in Greater China.
- Experience in servicing institutional clients and Consultants in the Greater China region.
Knowledge and skills: - Solid client contacts with major institutions and Consultants in Greater China Region.
- Strong ability to identify business opportunities, initiate contact and close new business.
- Extensive knowledge in Fixed Income & Equities investing and a thorough understanding of world investment markets and associated products across the increasingly broad spectrum of investment strategy available to institutional clients.
- Fluent in English and Cantonese.
