Our client is a renowned organization that has a strong domain in the financial services domain. To strengthen their team capability, they are now seeking for a Software Engineering Lead
About the role
Reporting to the department head and leading a team, you will be analysing current IT systems and identifying improvements to meet company's strategic direction. As a team lead, you will write software and oversee the development cycle a newly created low latency trading platform. You will be a supportive and inspiring technology leader, with an in-depth knowledge of software delivery best practices, an empowering style focused on coaching and developing your team, with a strong sense of pragmatism and a drive to create a community where people can do their best work. Work with the wider Technology department to ensure we build secure, available, scalable and reliable services while managing 3rd party vendors. Nurture and support the adoption and evolution of current best practices in Software Development & Deployment.
The successful applicants
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in developing software solutions for the financial industry
- Expertise in developing software for the derivatives systems on Linux platform will be a major plus
- Background with Cloud technology
- Exceptional coding skills in modern programming languages such as Java, Perl, Python, C++,SQL, Shell Scripting, React JS, JSX etc.
- Expert across all phases of software development including architecture, design, deployment and in-life operation.
- Experience in DevOps framework and tools
- Strong business commercial awareness with experience of working across various business areas at both operational and management levels.
