Market Surveillance Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Alert Analysis and Verification:
Analyse client behaviour for signs of abusive, manipulative, or illegal trading practices. Gather necessary information from clients and exchanges to accurately assess activities. - Notifications:
Report potential market abuse activities to Compliance, providing detailed information and analysis to facilitate corrective measures. - Management Reporting:
Contribute to management reports by documenting relevant client activities, statistical data, and analysis outcomes. - Risk Control Monitoring:
Monitor risk controls related to business operations, identify weaknesses, and provide regular reports to business lines and risk control functions. Participate in internal and external discussions with a risk aspect.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field.
- Knowledge of market surveillance tools and procedures.
- Understanding of trading procedures, processes, and regulations in Hong Kong markets.
- Familiarity with trading, exchanges, and client operations.
- High level of IT literacy.
- Proactive in identifying and presenting solutions to support business activities and plans.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Excellent command of the English language.
