In T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Job Objective - Provide operations support to daily production so as to deliver securities services with productivity, high quality, risk consciousness and excellent client service.
- Work together with Business Partners and Management to support business growth and drive development the Bank's strategically and tactically.
- Coordinate to lead projects and enhancement to create competitive advantages to the Bank.
- Provide advice and guideline to Team Members to build robust Team support to business and to develop individual career development.
- Lead and drive the quality, process flow and productivity improvement.
Responsibilties - Business As Usual Management, ensuring smooth running of the Team and Operations
- Manage securities settlement clearance in local and global markets on time to avoid any settlement delay, failure and penalty.
- Negotiate with all relevant counterparts to ensure all issues and problem on settlement instructions, funding and share availability are solved in time professionally.
- Responsible for timely clearance of both stock and cash break, liaising with relevant counterparts to resolve discrepancies.
- Hands on involvement to support end-to end settlement process and working with the Team all together on BAU activities.
- Capable of working under pressure and to cope with changing and dynamic market and working environment.
- Ensure adherence to escalation policies, maintain up to date awareness of risk policies and procedure.
- Capability to manage, lead and motivate the Team and support growth plan in the Team's development.
- Responsible for training the subordinates to handle daily settlement clearance process and delegate job appropriately.
- Coordinate and support implementation of new custodian business and initiatives such as drafting of Operational Procedure, conduct User Acceptance Test.
- Assists in projects and ad hoc assignment if required.
- Review policies, procedure and operational flow to maintain quality service and efficiency.
- Provide administrative support on people management.
Requirements - University graduates
- Minimum 10-15 years of relevant experience in global market securities operations.
- Good knowledge of custody operations experience including settlement, corporate action and client service management
- Strong analytical, planning and organizing skills
- Operational knowledge on market systems such as CCASS/DCASS, CMU, ICSD
- Accuracy and thoroughness in work
- Problem-solving skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge in MS office
- Be Result- and customer-oriented Client facing experience is an advantage
- Positive attitude and self-motivated
- Good team player, supportive and flexible to take up team tasks
- Good command in English and Chinese (both spoken & written)
